Hamish Brewer | Keynote Speaker

When the name Hamish Brewer is mentioned, a number of words come mind; relentless, innovative, maverick and loyal. Hamish Brewer is a visionary unfazed by conventional leadership and educational practices and theories, which leads him to push boundaries and challenge archaic process and practices.

As a leader and speaker, Brewer is considered an inspiration, innovator and motivational by those who have met, watched or listened to him.

Hamish Brewer is an award winning Title 1 Principal. Mr. Brewer is a Nationally Distinguished Principal and has seen his school award the Nationally Distinguished Title One School designation. He has over 20 years’ experience serving as a classroom teacher, administrator, international education Director and an educational consultant in the United States and abroad. Mr. Brewer is a highly regarded and sought after keynote and conference speaker on key educational topics from school improvements to engaging practices, motivation and best performance practices.

Brewer is high octane in his approach to children, teachers and his community. Hamish Brewer has been nominated for numerous leadership awards for his visionary approach and results in education. Mr. Brewer is currently a principal in Prince William County, one of the largest divisions in the country, helping in best practices and advances in the implementation and use of technology.


Jake Miller | Featured Presenter

Jake Miller is an edtech and learning enthusiast who hosts the Educational Duct Tape podcast, shares #EduGIFs at JakeMiller.net and works as a Technology Integration Specialist for an Ohio Middle School. Jake also coaches his school’s Robotics & Coding Clubs and helped develop the school’s digital fabrication Fab Lab. He has experience as an authorized Google Apps for Education Trainer. He previously taught middle school math, science and a student-paced STEM course, which he co-wrote the curriculum for.

Shelly Sanchez Terrell is an award-winning digital innovator, an ESL Specialist with the US Embassy and Georgetown University, and the author of Hacking Digital Learning with EdTech MissionsThe 30 Goals Challenge for Teachers: Small Steps to Transform Your Teaching, and Learning to Go. She has trained teachers and taught learners in over 20 countries as an invited guest expert and has been recognized by several organizations and publications as a leader in the movement of teacher-driven professional development as the founder and organizer of various online conferences, Twitter chats, and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). She was named Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women, awarded a Bammy Award as a founder of #Edchat, and named as one of the 10 Most Influential People in EdTech by Tech & Learning. Her greatest joy is being the mother of Savannah and Rosco the pug. The Edutech Guys | Featured Presenters

EduTechGuys is a high intensity rollercoaster ride of super fun which takes mortal form in the two distinct entities which are David Henderson and Jeff Madlock. Crafted in the fires of Mt. Wannahockaluggie, these two self-proclaimed high priests of edtech first started navigating the world of educational technology on the web through a podcast, over a ravine in a rain storm in 2015 (Sharkbait, ooh ha ha). Since then the two have traveled the nation bringing their joy for silly puns and more importantly sharing the journey of each educator they encounter. The guys enjoy sharing all the wild and crazy edtech ideas that bounce into their sandbox with teachers, administrators, students and parents.

Brian Romero Smith | Featured Presenter

Brian is considered an emerging thought leader which has afforded him the opportunity to speak as a presenter at various local and national conferences as an advocate for Building Relationships in the classroom by using Digital Access to amplify student voice in order to meet students where they are.

Engagements such as TCEA, TCC, eMerge, Revolution Learning, Tech & Learning Live and ISTE, Brian encourages educators and students to embrace the use of technology to build opportunities for students to become leaders in the digital space. This begins at home first for Brian. He and his 7 year old daughter have started The Captain Kindness and a Live-streaming broadcast to inject a little love in the world. The show is centered around his daughter’s passion to help others not only be kind whenever possible, but to also intentionally capture kindness, be on the lookout for others being kind and then amplify their actions. This epitomizes how we can use technology to take digital citizenship to the next step of Digital Leadership.

Tisha Poncio | Featured Presenter

Energetic and enthusiastic learner, teacher, coach and empowerED educator, Tisha Poncio has served in education for the last 20 years. She has led students in the classroom teaching English, Web Design, Graphic Design, Business Computers, Programming, and Broadcast Journalism. She has also led educators and administrators as an instructional technology coach for 11 years. She is a Google Certified Trainer, a Flipgrid Ambassador, an Ed Tech Team Blogger and was named a finalist in 2018 for Instructional Technology Specialist of the Year in Texas.

She has presented at numerous educational technology conferences across the nation and in her home state of Texas speaking about empowering students, teachers, and leaders as well as digital citizenship for all ages. Her biggest accomplishment to date has been the creation of a student-led technology leadership group who helps her present on student voice, empowerment and the #studentsCANlead movement on Twitter.

Joshua Kell | Featured Presenter

Joshua is part of the 40 under 40 industry influencers for Commercial Integrator for his role in esports for education. He was also recognized by NSCA as business partner ofthe year for his differentiating strategies for esports in the audio visual industry.

Joshua is the education ambassador for Acer America and the esports program. He was featured in an education piece in USA Today as he leads the charge with esports and thedevelopment of the industry.

Jezer Ureña | Featured Presenter

Jezer Ureña is a fourth-grade bilingual teacher for Aldine ISD, a Flocabulary Platinum MCE, and was just named the Bilingual Teacher of the year at Wilson Elementary. He earned his B.A. in history from the University of Houston and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Texas Southern University. He is passionate about innovation in the classroom and the impact of relationships on learning. When he’s not in the classroom he loves teaching music, playing guitar and traveling with his wife and their two daughters.
